TKM Chapters 28-31 Comprehension Questions

1.     It’s Halloween and a pagent has been planned, so trouble won’t happen as it did last year.  What part does Scout play? What does she do that wasn’t planned?

2.      How is she treated because of this?

3.     How is Scout feeling?  What do she and Jem do because of this?

4.     What happens on the way home?  Relate the actions.  Be very thorough. Give at least 8 details.

5.     Scout thinks Jem might be dead.  She doesn’t know what’s going on.  What does she find out at home?

6.     Heck Tate investigates the crime scene.  What does he tell Atticus he found?

7.     What does Heck Tate show Scout about her costume? What is the intent?

8.     As Scout retells the story of what happened, she turns to look at the man in the corner with the torn clothes.  Who is it?  Why is he there?
