Career & Technical Education is a planned program of courses and learning experiences that begins with exploration of career options, supports basic academic and life skills, enables achievement of high academic standards, leadership, preparation for industry-defined work, and advanced/continuing education. CTE programs in the State of Washington provide students in grades 9-12 with opportunities to:

1. Explore career options
2. Prepare for employment upon graduation from high school, and/or
3. Prepare for further education related to the training received in
    high school
