You can earn Community or Technical
College credit while enrolled in your
                  high school classes!

Text Box:      You can do this by taking advantage of a program referred to as Dual Credit. High school students who complete selected classes with a grade of "B" or better can earn college credit at several local community colleges. The first link below will allow you to register on-line starting in December or January of each year, and going through May. There is no longer any registration fee. At the end of the year your teacher will then register your grade with the Pierce County Careers Connection (PC3), and the college you have selected will post your course credits on your transcripts. For each year thereafter, you will need to register on-line for each selected course.

Keep in mind that some courses are not offered at all community colleges. You can also refer to your high school course catalog. When you see this symbol it means that you may be able to earn dual credit for taking this class. In some cases, you may need to take a sequence of two or three courses in order to earn dual credit (e.g. digital photography for 3 semesters). For questions regarding dual credit, ask your counselor, or click on the logo at the top of this page.
