Theme Page has links to two types of resources related to the
study of Stories, Folklore, and Fairy Tales. Students and teachers
will find curricular resources (information, content...) to help
them learn about this topic. In addition, there are also links to
instructional materials (lesson plans) which will help teachers
provide instruction in this theme.
SpringBoard ExtensionsPeninsula School District has
selected SpringBoard as the middle school Language Arts adoption.
SpringBoard is the College Board's rigorous and coherent plan for
schools and districts in Language Arts for students in grades 6 to
12.SpringBoard lessons have been extended to meet the needs of
middle school highly capable students. To view these

Judi Wilbert holds a bachelor of arts from the University
of Pittsburgh and her M.Ed. from George Washington University. Most of her post graduate work
was in elementary reading and writing. Her teaching experience
is in preschool through 5th grade. She taught 14 1/2 years
for Tacoma School District and this year will complete 10
years at Peninsula School District.
Judy has a Bachelor of Science from Black Hills
State College and Master of Arts from Whitworth College. She has
taught a wide variety of English courses, from 7th grade
language arts to college linguistics. Her specialty is teaching
writing. She taught at Peninsula High School for 13 years. She
has taught, mentored teachers, participated in NCTE National
Conferences, served on various state and district committees.
Our TOSAs support teachers at the building level by providing the
following services:
- consultation with teachers in grade
level teams
- demonstration lessons in the classroom
- peer coaching
- literacy resources
- support the literacy goals of each
elementary building
- staff development
