Instructional Advisory Committee (IAC)
Through community levy support, the Peninsula
School District provides students and teachers with quality instructional
materials that support the district curriculum and the state Essential
Learnings. An Instructional Advisory Committee (IAC) has been
established to coordinate the process of selection and implementation
of district-wide core instructional materials.
The IAC is a team of teachers, parents, community
members and administrators whose function is to:

Be a communication link between schools, the
district, parents and community.

Prioritize district instructional material
adoption needs.

Provide instructional materials review and
approval, monitor adoption committee work, and recommend
district core materials adoptions to the superintendent and the Board of Directors.

Provide high school and middle school course review
and approval and to make recommendations to the Superintendent and Board
of Directors.

Provide a forum for community challenges to
specific instructional materials.
