Home/Hospital Program

Carol Jones, Lead Nurse
(253) 530-1023

As stated in the Washington Administrative Code (WAC 392-172-218), Home/Hospital instruction is provided to a student who is temporarily unable to attend school for an estimated period of four weeks or more because of physical disability or illness.

The program is designed for the student who can maintain academic performance with minimum assistance, and the absences will not pose an adverse educational impact.

Tutoring is provided at home or in a hospital up to a maximum of 18 weeks. Weeks of absence may be consecutive or intermittent but may not exceed the 18-week limit.
