	Collaboration Time/Late Start for 2008/09 School Year Purdy Elementary will participate in Wednesday one hour late arrivals for the purpose of staff collaboration and increased student achievement. Purdy will offer YMCA before school child care; at different times in the year we have student clubs, and we are looking at a Wednesday morning schedule for them.

Collaboration Wednesdays

Thank you for the support of Collaboration Wednesdays. We have been working on our SIP (school improvement goals) and began with a focus on improving Math instruction. We will focusing on Reading next and reviewing Math again later in the year. Thank you so much for this time to meet.

Purdy's Annual Chess Tournament

Saturday, January 10 will be our annual Chess Tournament for K-6. This tournament is a state qualifier. More information can be found at Purdy's Chess Tournament .
