COVID-19 Data Dashboard
Purpose of the COVID-19 Data Dashboard
The purpose of the COVID-19 Data Dashboard is to provide transparency regarding the number of COVID-19 cases within the Peninsula School District while respecting student and staff medical privacy rights. The Peninsula School District COVID-19 Data Dashboard only displays information related to confirmed cases of Peninsula School District in-person individuals at PSD facilities.
Health department guidance outlines which confirmed cases require notification calls and letters to impacted individuals, based on determination as to whether or not there was a chance of school-based exposure.
- After identifying the positive case, notification calls go to identified close contacts of the case. Close contacts are defined as those who have spent 15 or more minutes over a 24-hour period within 6 feet or within 3 feet in a K-12 indoor classroom setting of a person diagnosed with COVID-19.
- Following calls, staff and student close contacts receive a follow-up written correspondence.
Cases in which notification calls and letters are needed are the cases reflected on the dashboard. Cases in which calls and letters are not needed are not on the dashboard.
The PSD COVID-19 Data Dashboard displays new cases confirmed from the first day of school (September 7) and onward,
and will span the 2021-2022 academic year.
