Ashley Stolhand, currently an instructional facilitator for the Department of Learning and Innovation, has accepted the role as Gig Harbor High School’s new assistant principal.
Stolhand is a veteran educator, and her values of team building, along with her skills as an organized leader with experience across many cultures made her stand out as a candidate for this position.
Stolhand started her journey in education in 2008 as a substitute teacher for the Menomonie Unified School District. She worked as a Spanish, History, and Social Studies teacher for 10 years at Fremont Union High School District, before joining PSD in 2020 as an instructional facilitator. She is currently working towards earning her Principal Certificate from Gonzaga University, and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Capella University.
We are excited to have Stoland join our school community as a leader. Please join us in welcoming her to the Tides family!
I’m excited to join the GHHS team and looking forward to the adventure ahead. I love the deep sense of community at the school, and the commitment of staff and students to learning. Roll Tides, and game on! Ashley Stolhand
