College in High Schools courses free for students in 2023-2024 school year

The Peninsula School District is proud of our ongoing partnership with local colleges and universities as a part of our College in High School program, which provides students with the opportunity to take college courses and earn college credits in high school.

While this program has provided many opportunities, the cost to register for courses has historically been a barrier for some PSD students. That’s why we are excited to announce that starting next school year, 2023-2024, all public high school students enrolled in College in the High School courses will be able register to earn college credit at no cost to the student or school. College in the High School will be FREE!

College in High School programs will be free after the passage of Senate Bill 5048, which provides state funding directly to the colleges and universities offering College in High School programs. SB 5048 was passed unanimously by both the Senate and House.
