We encourage all families to consider immunizing their student(s) against COVID-19, not just for their individual health, but the health and safety of our schools and community.

During October, November, and December, Peninsula School District is partnering with MultiCare Health System to provide four vaccine clinics at our middle schools.

In addition to clinics hosted at our schools, we’re also sharing upcoming community vaccine clinics opportunities. At this time, the only authorized vaccine for people 12-17 years of age is Pfizer. Parental consent is required by each provider.

Immunizing your student against COVID-19 can minimize the impact of COVID-19 protocols on their learning opportunities. For example, based on health department guidance, vaccinated students do not need to be quarantined for 14 days if identified as close contacts to a confirmed case of COVID-19 and are able to continue to attend in-person school and extracurricular activities.

Providing vaccination opportunities at our schools, as well as the implementation of our Test to Stay program, are two ways our district is working to minimize the impact of COVID-19 protocols on student learning opportunities. More information about PSD’s Test to Stay program will be available for families soon, with the goal of testing starting in our schools on Monday, Oct. 4.

Please note, if vaccine approval guidance changes before our school clinics, such as a possible FDA emergency use authorization approval for children ages 5-11, we will provide updated information to you. All members of the community are welcome to attend these vaccine clinics.

Upcoming Vaccine Clinics at PSD Middle Schools

On-site immunization clinics for Peninsula School District students 12 years of age or older and other members of the community are scheduled during October, November, and December.

The first and second doses of Pfizer, approved by the FDA, will be the vaccine type administered at the school-based clinics. It is available for individuals 12 years and older. Children between the ages of 12 to 17 are required to have a consent form signed by their parent or legal guardian before receiving the vaccine. There will be consent forms available at the clinic if needed. No appointment is necessary.
