It's School Nurse and Health Technician Recognition Week

This week we wanted to recognize PSD's wonderful school nurses and health professionals for their ongoing, unwavering commitment to our students' health and well being.

School nurse Jocelyn Hanson helps keep students at PHS and Henderson Bay healthy at school.

“I love getting to know our students and watch as they transform into young adults,” said Jocelyn.

Cynthia (Cindi) Collamore, Health Tech at Purdy Elementary, is loved for all she does to help keep students healthy at school!
“I tell people if I can go through a pandemic, with its ever-changing rules, I can do ANYTHING,” said Cindi.

Katherine Seymour, Health Technician at Discovery Elementary, has cared for students for 25 years.
“My favorite thing about working in my position is I get to become familiar with many students and they trust me; that makes my heart melt,” said Katherine.

Kristin Girard is a school nurse, serving students at Minter Creek, Key Peninsula MS, and Vaughn. She's been in nursing since 1982.
“The most rewarding part of my job is seeing our students grow, evolve, and thrive over the years.”

Thank you for all the amazing work you do in our schools!
