Virtual Graduation Ceremonies graphic

Virtual graduation ceremonies for Gig Harbor High School, Peninsula High School and Henderson Bay High School will be presented on Saturday, July 25 at 12 pm on the Peninsula School District website.

Graduates, family and friends are invited to watch the ceremonies hosted at psd401.net/graduation. Each high school will have its own virtual graduation video embedded on the graduation page premiering at 12 pm on Saturday.

We previously announced that we were sad to be unable to host the in-person graduation event we had been planning at Roy Anderson Field on July 25. We were unable to move forward with this event because our county will not be in Phase 4 of the state’s Start Safe plan by July 25.

As disappointed as we are that we can’t gather for this event, we’re grateful for the Graduate Car Parade that gave us a fun and unique way to celebrate our graduates this year. In lieu of the in-person event we had been planning at Roy Anderson Field, we hope you enjoy the virtual graduation ceremonies.

We express our deepest gratitude to all involved for making the virtual graduation ceremonies possible. Thank you to the Peninsula School Board of Directors for their support in honoring the Class of 2020 and thank you to Alex Chandler with Chandler Media & Design for producing the virtual graduation videos.

Congratulations, Class of 2020!

Additional Note for Gig Harbor High School and Peninsula High School Graduates:

A ceremony program, along with an official diploma and diploma cover, will be mailed to graduates in August. If they are not received these by September, please contact your school office.

Additional Note for Henderson Bay High School Graduates:

HBHS students will have a diploma pick-up on Friday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Henderson Bay in the parking lot. Graduates are invited to come in cap and gown. Grads will park in designated spots in the parking lot. We will have a brief ceremony and call each graduate up to pick up their diploma and take pictures. Participation is limited to one car per graduate. HBHS sent a short survey to confirm graduates choosing to participate. If you choose not to participate, diplomas will be mailed out later in the summer.
