NJROTC students meet the Blue Angels

The PSD Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) students were given a chance to watch the Blue Angels take-off from Boeing Field for SeaFair on Saturday, Aug. 6.

The Blue Angels took off from Boeing Field next to the Museum of Flight to an airshow at SeaFair on Saturday, and then gave autographs to children and families at the museum after their landing. PSD NJROTC students took the chance to watch the Blue Angels and receive autographs.

NJROTC students also attended a talk by photographer, author, pilot, and showman Brian Shul. Shul shared stories and advice from his experience as a SR-71 Blackbird pilot. NJROTC students asked Shul questions after the talk.

Lt. Commander Darrel Hood and Command Master Chief Robert Stockton were proud to take the NJROTC to the museum in full dress to represent PSD. Hood and Stockton also toured the static planes and jets with the students, sharing their personal experiences from their time in the military. It was a special experience for both students and instructors.
