Superintendent Krestin Bahr was honored at last week's school board meeting, Thursday, May 11, by the Washington Association of School Business Officials (WASBO) as a recipient of the Leader of Distinction Award.
The Leader of Distinction Award is given to school leaders who;
Create a nurture a positive work environment;
Collaborate with finance and operations employees;
Promotes professional development for finance and operations staff; and
Supports innovative business solutions.
Ten candidates were nominated and Superintendent Bahr was the first ever recipient of the award.
“I am so honored,” Superintendent Bahr said after the award was announced at the WASBO 2023 Conference on May 3, 2023. “And I have to say that the business people that I work with are crucial to my success and the success of any superintendent, and to the ability to have longevity in our district.”
Superintendent Bahr was presented the award during the school board meeting by PSD Chief Financial Officer Ashley Murphy.
