On July 26, 2018, the Peninsula School District Board of Directors selected Dr. Art Jarvis to be the Interim Superintendent for the 2018-2019 school year. He continues as superintendent for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.
After earning his BA in Education, MA in Special Education, and Ed.D in Educational Administration from the University of Washington, Dr. Jarvis has served as Superintendent in Tacoma, Enumclaw, and South Whidbey school districts. Most recently, he has been the Interim Superintendent in the Shelton School District and Renton School District. He has twice been named the Washington State Superintendent of the Year.
In his spare time, Dr. Jarvis enjoys reading, athletics, numismatics, golf, and time with family and grandchildren.
Dr. Jarvis will retire from the Peninsula School District June 30, 2021.
Krestin Bahr brings over 34 years of experience as an educator. She began her career as a classroom teacher, became a principal and worked her way up to Director of Middle Schools and the Mt. Tahoma Regional Director for Tacoma Public Schools. Bahr earned her master’s degree at City University and her superintendent’s certification from Washington State University. She has been the Eatonville School District Superintendent since 2013. Bahr has been twice been nominated for the AASA Superintendent of the Year.
Bahr has been married for 36 years to her husband, Bryon. They have three grown children, three grandchildren, and one more on the way.
