High School Opportunities
Credit Recovery
Program Summary
This program is designed for students who need assistance with recovering credits needed for graduation.
Credit recovery is held from 8 - 10 a.m., followed by enrichment activities from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Depending on student interests, students may choose another credit recovery opportunity in lieu of the enrichment activities.
The Enrichment Camp portion of the day gives students an opportunity to learn new skills, hang out with friends, and explore interests in a fun, supportive environment.

All current 9th through 12th grade students.

West Sound Tech Summer Satellite Academy
Program Summary
In partnership with West Sound Technical Skills Center, PSD will be offering exciting summer learning classes through the Summer Satellite Academy.
This program is designed for students interested in exploring skills and careers for their future. All courses provide 0.5 high school credits in Career and Technical Education and some classes can help students with other graduation requirements.
Classes offered include:
- American Sign Language;
- College, Career, and Finance Exploration;
- Digital Photo;
- Drone Pilot Certification;
- Environmental Science;
- Forensic Science and ;
- Health
The program:
- Is free to students; and
- Provides breakfast and lunch and transportation to students.

Incoming 9th through 12th grade students.

Worksite Learning
Program Summary
Are you a high school student who is working and would like to earn high school credit too? Students can earn 0.50 credits after showing documented work experience during the summer. Students will need 180 hours of documented work experience to earn credits.
Eligible Students
Incoming 9th through 12th grade students.

Online Summer Courses
Program Summary
PSD is offering online summer learning classes for students seeking credits in Health, College, Career & Finance Exploration (CCFE), or P.E.
The program:
- Costs $150 per course, with financial aid available for families;
- Opens on Monday, June 16; and
- Students can register with their school's bookkeeper.
Eligible Students
Incoming 10th through 12th grade students.
Date and Time
Monday, June 26, through Monday, Aug. 7. Course must be complete by Aug. 7 to receive credits.
Location
Online for Peninsula High School, Gig Harbor High School, and Henderson Bay High School students.
Registration
Registration is completed through your school's bookkeeper. Students are encouraged to speak with their counselor prior to registering.

YMCA Camp Seymour - Overnight
YMCA Camp Seymour - Gig Harbor, WA
Overnight camp for campers entering 3rd through 9th grade. "Camp is a place where we teach kids about acceptance and tolerance. We coexist with other campers, share stories, and life lessons and learn to appreciate others for who they are. Camp Seymour is a place where kids can feel as if they belong." Camp Seymour Summer Camps is a 6-day, 5-night experience.

Food Backpacks 4 Kids - Summer Resources
Food Backpacks 4 Kids is a nonprofit located on the Key Peninsula whose mission is "to meet the nutritional needs of hungry children and families at times when other resources are not available and to be a stable source of healthy foods for those who need it most."
While many of Food Backpacks 4 Kids programs run during the Peninsula School District school year, summer programs and resources are available for children.

Right At School Summer Camp
Right at School Summer Camp - Gig Harbor
