Student Teachers/ Interns
It is the intent of the Peninsula School District to provide the student a rigorous, authentic, and high quality classroom experience. To that end, we require all applicants to be enrolled in a State Board of Education approved college/university education program, with field supervisors provided by the college/university. The college/university must also have a current contract with the Peninsula School District.
Please note: Requests for a placement with a specific teacher or counselor will not be accepted.
To apply for a student teaching, intern or practicum experience in the Peninsula School District please submit a resume, two letters of recommendation, and an application form to:
Mary Caseley, Instructional Facilitator
Peninsula School District
14015 62nd Ave NW
Gig Harbor, WA 98332
Many colleges and universities coordinate placements through their Field Placement departments. Please be sure to follow your college/university guidelines when making your application.
You need to submit an application form that includes your contact information, student teaching/intern/practicum preferences, and dates. You may use an application form provided by your university or the Peninsula School District Student Intern Application (linked below). You do not need to submit more than one application form.
Applications must be received at least 30 school days prior to the requested start date.
