On July 23 the Peninsula School Board took action to start the 2020-2021 school year fully remote. We know that this may create anxiety. We know there are many questions, including questions we do not have answers to at this moment.
Once we have more information regarding child care options in the fall, we will send out communication to the community and include all information on this page.
Thank you for your patience while we work extremely hard to plan and provide answers as soon as possible.
YMCA Before and After School programs focus on safety, health, social growth, and academic enrichment for children ages 5-12. The YMCA provides onsite, licensed before and after school care for families from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the following schools:
- Artondale Elementary
- Discovery Elementary
- Harbor Heights Elementary
- Minter Creek Elementary
- Purdy Elementary
- Vaughn Elementary
- Voyager Elementary

- Financial Assistance, fee subsidy for qualifying military families, DSHS and other Third Party Provider assistance is available.

Late Start Wednesday Morning Program
Offered at each of the elementary schools during Late Start Wednesday mornings
8:45 to 9:45 a.m. – No Charge
45 minutes of physical activity and programs focused on values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Help your child have fun while improving their health and well-being.
