Overview

The Peninsula School District offers a variety of summer learning opportunities at the elementary and secondary levels. During Summer 2021 all learning opportunities, including any associated transportation and meals, are free for participating students.

Please see details regarding summer learning transportation and meals following the program details information.

*There is no transportation for the Summer Jumpstart program

Summer Soar

Partnership with Communities in Schools and Boys & Girls Club.

Literacy focused with STEM integration, math connections, and building skills. Students can stay all day and engage in academic, social emotional, and mentorship support.

Credit recovery online learning with courses in math, science, English and more. Credit recovery classes can be taken for courses previously failed, or showing an incomplete on a student's transcript.

Standard non-credit recovery opportunities for students who want to accelerate and open up class schedules during the traditional school year.

Open Enrollment

All incoming 9th - 12th grade students

*Please note, current 8th grade/incoming 9th grade students may only enroll in Health, PE or CCFE and will need a middle school counselor's approval.

Free transportation and Meals are offered to all students for summer 2021 learning


School buses make every reasonable effort to get as close as possible to a student's normal bus pick up stop. There is no charge for summer transportation services.

*There is no transportation for the Summer Jumpstart program

Meals
School meals are available to all children ages 0-18, free of charge, at school district meal sites.

This includes, but is not limited to, students participating in summer learning programs through the Peninsula School District.
