PSD High School
Summer Learning Opportunity

Program Overview

The Peninsula School District will offer a summer learning opportunity, at no cost, for high school students (incoming 9th-12th grade) districtwide who are eligible for credit retrieval.

This in-person 15-day program (3 weeks) is designed to recapture failing grade(s) from this past year. The replacement grade a student receives from participating in this program will be a “P” (pass) which will allow them to earn one .5 credit (each session) towards graduation.

There are two sessions -- each three weeks long.

In each session, students will work two hours in the classroom recapturing credits with a teacher. In the second portion of the morning, students will have an opportunity to join a summer camp elective and explore a choice activity for the remainder of their school day.

Choice activities are listed below. We plan to offer as many choice activity opportunities as possible, although offerings will be determined by interest and enrollment.
