Join the Long Range Facilities Advisory Board - Applications due on March 31

You are invited to apply to be on the Long Range Facilities Advisory Board for the Peninsula School District. Community members, staff, and individuals interested in facilities planning or in the facilities field are encouraged to apply for a two year commitment on the advisory board. 

The purpose of the Long Range Facilities Advisory Board is to conduct informal research, investigations and surveys and make recommendations to best serve the interests of students, families and the District. The Long Range Facilities Advisory Board shall focus on the following areas and report back to the Board and Superintendent.

• Review the physical conditions of the district facilities
• Review and revise current space and service standards as needed
• Evaluate district operational systems through the lens of their efficiency and longevity
• Review district demographic and student growth projections to anticipate future needs 
• Review the programmatic needs of the district based on current and anticipated educational trends or requirements, including instructional and educational models likely to be in place in the district
• Consider any other trends, conditions or potential needs relating to facilities and operations that arise during the term commitment 
• Solicit community input through a variety of methods which may potentially include surveys and/or community forums

Applications will be accepted through March 31. Successful candidates will be notified by mid-April of their inclusion in the advisory board. Join us today, and let your voice be heard!
