Our mission is to support every student in reaching their full potential by prioritizing safety, equity, and excellence in all our decisions. We invite you to explore our initiatives, participate in our meetings, and join us in our dedication to student success and safety.
The Peninsula School District Board of Directors comprises five elected members who govern the district. As elected representatives of our community, the school board sets the vision, mission and strategic goals for the district. They establish policies in line with federal, state, and local laws, as well as guidelines from the State Board of Education and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. They also hire and evaluate the superintendent.
While the board sets policy, a professional staff led by the superintendent implements these policies and manages daily district operations. In collaboration with the superintendent and administrators, the board monitors the district's progress towards its goals and makes key decisions on budget adoption, facilities, levy and bond elections, curriculum approval, fiscal planning and more.
